PDS x ASMPD Annual Convention

Dear esteemed delegates, colleagues and friends,

Greetings! As co-chair of this year’s convention and on behalf of the Pediatric Dermatology Society of the Philippines, I am deeply honored to invite you to the 12th Asian Scientific Meeting of Pediatric Dermatology (ASMPD) hosted by the Philippines, which coincides with the 48th Annual Convention of the Philippine Dermatological Society, from November 4-7, 2025 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom Manila, entitled: BUILDING BRIDGES: EXPLORING INNOVATIONS IN PEDIATRIC, MEDICAL AND AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY. Indeed, it is our vision to bridge the gap and explore the latest innovations in the different fields of dermatology, with particular attention to pediatric dermatology as well as medical and aesthetic dermatology.

To our PDS colleagues, we warmly welcome you to a convention which serves as a platform for translating innovation into real-world solutions for our dermatology patients – both pediatric and adults. Medical dermatology stands at the forefront of groundbreaking therapeutic solutions, providing hope and relief for patients facing debilitating and life-altering skin conditions. Simultaneously, aesthetic dermatology continues to pioneer cutting-edge technologies, pushing the boundaries of dermatologic treatments and enhancing patient well-being. These topics will be adequately addressed in the 4-day conference with focus on practical tools to excel in clinical practice.

To our esteemed colleagues in pediatric dermatology across Asia and beyond, welcome to a meeting dedicated to bringing innovative pediatric dermatology to every child. In support of the 12th ASMPD, we are gathered to share our expertise and best practices, foster collaboration as well as explore innovative knowledge to advance the standard of care for our pediatric patients with dermatologic conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, genodermatoses, pigmentary disorders and alopecia, among others. Let us leverage our collective regional expertise to provide practical solutions and create a brighter future for pediatric dermatology — all while enjoying the warm Filipino hospitality.

The organizing committee has meticulously curated a program filled with lectures and sessions designed to stimulate your intellect and provide you with valuable insights to enhance your practice. Our line-up of esteemed and inspiring speakers are experts in their varying fields who will share their expertise and practical knowledge. Professor John McGrath from St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, who is a leading expert in genetic skin diseases,  will share his expertise on molecular dermatology. Prof. Annette Wagner from Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago is a dermatologic surgeon and laser specialist. She will conduct workshops and share her expertise on pediatric procedural dermatology. We also have numerous regional colleagues from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hongkong, India, Thailand, Taiwan, and counting, who will engage us with their insightful lectures as well. Be ready to engage in thought-provoking discussions and explore groundbreaking  advancements in our field.

Our meeting kicks off with intensive jampacked preconvention courses and workshops, setting the stage for a comprehensive learning experience. We delve into extensive learning plenary sessions and immersive workshops while exploring new perspectives in the realms of medical, procedural and aesthetic pediatric dermatology. Sessions are designed to ensure that delegates gain valuable insights and practical skills. For the main convention, plenary lectures and breakout sessions are conceptualized for more in-depth learning and focused discussions.

To further foster camaraderie, our Fellowship Gala Night is the perfect opportunity to laugh, exchange pleasant conversations, and share our diverse cultural practices, thereby strengthening the friendships and professional bonds forged during this conference. We invite all our delegates to join in this festive celebration.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our mother society, the Philippine Dermatological Society, for their invaluable collaboration allowing us to strengthen our expertise and advance the frontiers of pediatric dermatology, as well as  medical, and aesthetic dermatology.

Together, let us engage in meaning discussion, spark new ideas and elevate the standard of care for our dermatology patients. I hope you find this convention both informative and enriching.  Mabuhay!
